Along with the first weekend of October, Milan always brings the feeling of living in a city that is starting to fill up again with things to do, with a first, genuine sense of momentum. While in the background the subtle atmosphere of spooky season is just beginning to appear — one that will accompany the entire month — the streets are buzzing with new openings, grand returns, and a desire for change. To navigate this climate of evolution and excitement, here are our five things to do this weekend.
To Eat - Street Smash Burger x La Rue
Street Smash Burgers meets La Rue, the bistrot on Corso Garibaldi, to create the La Rue Bistro Burger. The limited-edition sandwich features two patties with the classic crispy edges of the smash, cheese, onion and pickles, and adds La Rue's signature sauce: brown butter, aromatic herbs, umami and a spicy note. A collaboration born in Milan that brings a touch of the Parisian bistrot to one of the most beloved American comfort foods of all time.

To Chill - Matcha Club
The Matcha Club is opening its Milan location: a new address entirely dedicated to the drink that has won over coffee shops and Instagram feeds in recent years. The venue brings to the city a menu built around matcha, served in its most classic forms as well as more indulgent interpretations, including lattes, drinks and accompaniments for any time of day.

To Shop - WUNDR MRKT
After seven years at Spirit de Milan, which closed unexpectedly at the start of the summer, Wunder Mrkt moves to a new home and relaunches at Spazio Profumo, a former perfume factory in the Barona neighbourhood, now transformed into an industrial archaeology space. On Sunday, October 4th, from 11am to 8:30pm, the market stalls are back — the market was founded in 2015 — offering vintage clothing and accessories, crafts and vinyl records. Street food, music and activities for children will round out the day. Entry is free.

To Discover - Made by mr.a
On Saturday, October 3rd, mr.a comes to the Museo Bagatti Valsecchi to present a preview of his new project. Dedicated to the world of watches and collecting, the next chapter of Made by mr.a takes place within the rooms of the historic Milanese house-museum. Attendance is by registration.

To Party - Arca
Arca Milano marks the beginning of a new season with its reopening on Saturday, October 3rd. The Via Rimini venue returns to the heart of Milan's nightlife with Take It Easy, accompanying the reopening from 11:30pm through to the morning. Behind the decks will be Bugsy b2b Tayga, Fabio Alampi and Love Connection, for one of the longest-running fixtures on the Milan clubbing scene.
